Emerald Society Supports New Charity

cahinde

With Memorial Day fast approaching, the Emerald Society was proud to donate $15,000 to Operation Second Chance to help our Wounded Warriors. Operation Second Chance is a small, home-grown charity based in Germantown, MD and it operates with extremely low overhead to maximize their ability to provide assistance to wounded troops through activities, trips and retreats, financial support and assistance, hospital support visits and scholarship and mentoring programs. We are very grateful to the hardworking members of the American Legion Jameson-Harrison Post 238 in Hughesville, MD for helping to make this possible with a big donation from their St. Patrick’s Day dinner and auction fundraiser. And a huge salute to our wounded warriors and to the great people at Operation Second Chance!
